New moon in April

Instead of drawing some cards for this new moon, I have decided to choose them intentionally so they would represent what I want to accomplish during this coming lunation.
I choose the Four of Swords and the Princess of Cups from the Druidcraft Tarot.
The fours of Swords represents my intention to quiet down my always busy mind. At first, I thought it could be a good idea to start meditating daily again but knowing myself, I realized this would be very hard to accomplish. I think it would be better for me if I could choose from various options: meditating, riding my bike. sitting with Jofee on my lap, taking a walk, playing with watercolors... etc. anything which would calm my racing thoughts goes.
The Princess of Cups represents my state of being when I will succeed in this; even if it is only for a second or two. She is connected to her heart, the place where feelings whisper and true wisdom comes from. She is totally willing to hear and listen to the messages of her heart. The flow of these messages is a constant in her life because she has no problem to tune into them. I don't expect to be like the Princess of Cups in four weeks but I am willing to commit to this practice and to see where it will lead me.

Princess of Cups - a playful approach

Goddess Tarot, Princess of Cups
This morning I wasn't surprised when the Princess of Cups came up. Here we see a lovely fair-haired young girl; almost a woman, strolling along the shore of the sea or a very large lake. The light of a crescent moon is shining upon her while she is sipping from her cup: Very carefully. Maybe she has secretly picked a goblet of wine from her father's banquet and is now tasting this rich deep red liquid for the first time savoring the taste and the feel of the wine warming her body.

Isn't that exactly what I should do regarding  trying to connect to the Divine in a more intuitive and heartfelt way; to let me be guided by an intuitive yearning. I feel like this card is telling me to go to this inner place of sacredness as a child: experience it as it was the first time with a fresh open mind. Just start over and feel everything while being mindful and alert. Go slowly, step by step and approach this “quest” playfully and creative; wiggle with your toes in the sand, and enjoy every step along the way.

This morning, I've decluttered and altered my altar. Like the Princess of Cups it is "dressed in white" which is very peaceful and calming for me right now.. The card is from the Enchanted Map Oracle: Slow and steady (very appropriate J)

If we experienced life through the eyes of a child everything would be magical and extraordinary. Let our curiosity, adventure and wonder of life...never end.

PS I will be back on Monday: We have a busy family weekend coming up because M will be celebrating her birthday.

A three card spread for my daily draw

Today I am going to follow my own advice: to make a minor change in a daily routine, just for the fun of it. So instead of drawing one card today I've done a three card daily spread, using my Druidcraft Tarot:

Druidcraft Tarot
1 The main energy of the day - The Nine of Pentacles: I couldn't be more happy with that card. I often use it as my significator. This woman is so at ease in her fenced garden. I know the world is bigger but for now I am happy with myself and enjoy the abundance within my safe boundaries.
2 The challenge of the day - Princess of Cups: Don’t get to carried away by the worldly and material well being. Keep dreaming and fantasizing to expand your experiences and your creativity. Stay open for your sense of wonder and  for your intuitive feelings
3 The gift of today - the World. I seem to be getting this card  a lot and that pleases me. As a gift I would read this as a feeling of accomplishment and feeling whole again ( after a very long time). I feel like I am getting to know my authentic self a lot better lately. And blogging has a lot to do with it. This daily writing about tarot (and oracles)  is focusing my thoughts on unexpected topics and often I am surprised at what I think and write and in so I get to know myself a little bit better each day.
