Two of Air - Stop, Breath and Listen

Gaian Tarot Two of Air Joanna Powell Colbert
Today's card is the Two of Air from the Gaian Tarot: a woman is listening to the all sounds around her, the twittering of birds, the sound of leaves in the wind and so much more. But then she stops paying attention to them and is just simply hearing them. It is only then that she is starting to hear that soft tender voice from within: The voice that only speaks with love and kindness and never is about fear or despair.  She closes her eyes and she smiles because she hear whispers of Peace and Quiet which she longs for so much. In her hand, she cradles something precious, perhaps a talisman to keep her grounded and centered throughout the day.
I've seen this card many times already but today, for the first time, I noticed her necklaces. She is probably wearing these as talismans to represent the four elements. Today this highlights for me the necessity to not only think about life but also to feel, experience and want something from it as well.

They will remind me to stop, breath and listen instead of always chasing toward the next item on my todo list

Aff: I take time in my day to listen and be open to receiving insight.

Nine of Wands and Strength – Breathe and stand down for while

My question for today was which part of me is in need of some nurturing and loving attention and I pulled the Nine of Wands from the Shadowscapes Tarot.
Shadowscapes Tarot Nine of Wands Strength Stephanie Pui-Mun Law Blog Blogger
Yes, lately I am too often fully armored and expecting the worst. That is my default mode when stress is piling up and I feel like I have to be ready for whatever calamity might happen next. But of course, that is all in my head because nobody knows what the next moment will bring and I am not responsible what others might do. My sole responsibility lies in my answer to their actions.
Then I was wondering how I could pamper my inner warrior, my always present sentinel and I pulled Strength. In this card, the rider has dismounted his lion and caresses his manes.  Behind him, a cat is playing with a bell tied to a ribbon. Birds are flying over him and the bamboo in the background is reminding him of how swaying in the wind without breaking, is a strength too. Look how the yellow from the first card lowers itself easily into the next. While the first card is uptight and is asking for constant alertness, the second card lets us breathe and enjoy the moment. Today this card radiates balance and inner peace for me

Even the guy in the Nine of Wands needs to stand down for moment if he want to do his job properly otherwise when the real attack come he is lying in his bed with a burnout

Four of Feathers and Ten of Cups - Finding Peace of mind

Four of Feather Ten of Cups Margarete Petersen Tarot
Today’s card is the Four of Feathers (Four of Swords) from the Margarete Petersen Tarot. I love to receive this card from any deck. This card reminds me to quiet down and find some peace of mind. Although I do love almost every other version of The Four of Swords, I must say that this card is rendering its meaning so beautifully. We see a person resting in the darkest shade of blue. He is lying in a protective bubble with a large feather on top.  In the distance, we see hills and mountains. But for now, he doesn’t need to worry about them. For now there are no problems, no questions, no to-do’s no nothing. He only needs to breath and to be. The whole vibe of the card is so soothing. You can almost feel the caress of the soft feather on your skin.
Then I wondered what could help me to find this peace of mind and I got the Ten of Cups: a calm ocean glittering in the sunlight. Breath in and out like the rolling of the waves and realize just how blessed and loved you are.

I hope you all can find some inner stillness today. Even if it is only for just a moment …..

Two of Water - Kinship of Souls

This morning I felt like blogging again and I pulled the Two of Water from the Vision Quest Tarot. My initial thoughts were: “What a perfect energy for a great weekend!”and I immediately pulled another card on how to find and hold on to this feeling of harmony and bliss; of giving and receiving love without any conditions…. And I got the Son of Air …mmmm.
Vision Quest Tarot Two of Water Vision Quest Tarot Son of Air

He is not an aspect of us that is selfless and peaceful. More the part that wants to be right all the time and wants to be heard at any cost, as long as he gets the message across. And then it struck me. These two cards can also be interpreted on a global scale. Because we all know what happens if we cannot let our inner Son of Air rest in the stillness of unconditional love…
Everything that happens around us starts somewhere on this earth on a personal level: the proverbial drop in the pond. So for today I want to mindful that my small droplets are filled with love and kindness, not only in word and deed but also in thought and prayer
Maybe one day soon we will realize that separation is an illusion and that we are all one.

Hugs

Peace –Bathing in Sunlight

Gaia Oracle, Peace, Toni Salerno
My card for today is Peace- dissolving unwanted or disturbing thoughts from the Gaia Oracle by Toni Salerno.
Here we see a radiant sun, painted in mostly orange and yellow with a touch of green symbolizing the illuminated Earth. This warmth, this light is so precious to the soul.  No wonder the Sun has been a symbol for Divinity since a long as we can remember.
The Sun itself is the center of everything, while its rays burn away our worries and outdated obstructing thought patterns. This card invites us to take the time to find our own center and reconnect with our spiritual sun, our Divine spark. The most commonly used practice to do this is also the most difficult to maintain.  And yet it is through mediation we can learn to let go and stop clinging to our thoughts as if they are the only thing that really matters. When we will let our thoughts go like clouds in the wind, the sun will come out again and will start shining bright.

Literally: Finally Summer is here! The sun is shining so brightly today and I am going to enjoy it while it lasts
