Celtic lenormand – How to survive the last week of Summer?

For my daily draw I’ve used the Celtic Lenormand by Chloe McCracken and Will Worthington. First I’ve shuffled my deck thoroughly and then I searched for the sun card to represent the intense heat of this week. Then I picked up the two cards on either side of the sun, asking how to get through this week as good as possible.
And I drew: anchor + house and birds +letter:
Lenormand is sometimes such a blunt and direct tool and can tell you exactly what you already know. As if it is telling you: “why do you bother me with  trivial questions with such obvious answers! I am capable of so much more." And maybe it is right; I do tend to forget this tool when I need guidance for something. I also notice that I often return to the same decks and forget others entirely. And I do believe each system and each deck has its own individual quirks and qualities so this is a good reminder pay some more attention to my neglected decks. But I digress so let’s look at the cards:
Anchor and house.
Stay at home, especially during the hottest hours of the day.
Birds and letter
Write a blogpost, journal, phone a friend and talk with M about daily fun stuff and don’t start complaining  about how hot it is.
Anchor and letter
In Dutch we have a saying: “Who writes will remain” so I will take this as an encouragement to journal more elaborated this week. When it is so hot I tend to skip the juicy details and keep my entries more concised.
House and birds
Social gatherings at home. You're all invited! :D

  1. Just tell me when and where - I may not be there physically, but I will be there in spirit! This summer has seemed like such a long one; I can't believe it is suddenly coming to a close.

  2. My friend in England is nearly prostrate with the record heat. and the deniers go on and on about no greenhouse effect.
I love this deck, although I'm at a loss on how to work with lenormands. Mind has been overheated too many times!

    1. They are experts in burying their heads in the hot sand.
I think you are doing quite well with it as far as I can tell when you write about them :)

  3. I too commented on Summer. The days are winding down and soon we will say goodbye to the long hot summer days. Yay! I work from home so thats a blessing. I often think of those that have to toil under the Sun.
I really like the Celtic Lenormand. So much interesting visuals in such small cards.

    1. Me too! My eldest daughter had to go to work all day and there's no airco.
It's a really great deck with lots of extra cards to work with.

  7. I enjoy all the seasons in their own way. I've loved this hot, sunny summer, so long as there's a bit of shade and a cool drink. So much fun playing in the garden with the kids, though I'll admit a few nights the heat made it hard to sleep.
And I look forward to the autumn, a crispness in the air and the amazing variety of colours!
Loved your 'tell it like it is' reading, and I hope you enjoyed your journalling 😊

    1. I envy you.:)
When I was younger I could function much better in the Summer. Taking my girls to the pool etc was really fun.
Luckily journaling is something I can do the whole year round
