For
today I’ve done a three card spread with my already highly appreciated Dreams of Gaia Tarot. Even though this deck is
perfect for digging deep and really exploring unknown territories of your
psyche, today’s message was crisp a clear and very concise.
The cards I drew were:
1 The
general energy of the day – Faith
This is
the last card of the Major Arcana in this deck and it represents primarily Faith
in yourself, although Faith in a higher Power can be very beneficial for your sense of self worth too. This Faith cards
is all about confidence, self worth and a sense of being good enough. When we
develop this kind of believe in ourselves it will support us and carry us safely through the
ups and down of life.
2 The
challenge of the day – Two of Water
This
card is about sharing you deepest feelings with some one else; having the courage to be open and
vulnerable in communication. It is about giving and receiving; about deep and
sincere intimacy.
3 The
gift of today – Six of Fire
Healing, negotiation and compromise are some of the key words for this card. Being aware
and accepting of of other people's opinions and preferences and still being able to find
a middle ground on which both parties can meet.
What I love about this reading it that it all
starts with having Faith myself and being
aware that I am enough and worthy to be heard. When I feel secure enough to share
my beliefs and point a views then, yes only then, I will have the courage to
meet others halfway.
Affirmation
: I am enough
What a wonderful affirmation to carry not just today but every day. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I need to remember that!!
DeleteYour post (and spread) makes me think of tolerance vs. intolerance of others. I think it is when we are confident in our beliefs, there is no need to push them on others or fear the beliefs of those whose ideas are different. Discussion is a possibility rather than debate. :)
ReplyDeleteYou´re absolutely right Bev! That´s why I love that she is carried by this ancient knowing turtle: A symbol of wisdom and confidence. No need win over others to her side anymore.
DeleteGreat, thoughtful post Ellen.
ReplyDeleteSelf-acceptance, knowing, understanding and believing we are enough I think brings us to a point when can say and act on truly deserving to love ourselves, not in a self-centered or selfish way but because this is what real self-caring means. Sometimes easier said than done. I think it takes practice for some of us.
All important things are often easier said than done. Setting the right intention when we get up might help us during the day
DeleteI couldn't figure out what those three cards were before reading your post. I love thee are so many different decks for different times and tastes.
ReplyDeleteThis deck has its own system and it comes with a more than excellent guidebook.
DeleteThough I have not met you in person I feel that I have come to know you a bit. I think you are pretty great gal. Life can be challenging and the difficulties and hardships can seem to get the best of us, but the Faith and Belief in ourselves keep us moving. I clink my cup to you. Bright Blessings
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much and here's to you too my dear Carolyn. I am glad to have "met" you and to be able to enjoy your views on the cards and on life in general
DeleteBig Hug
These cards are so beautiful! Still, I wonder how I will fare with such a different system.
ReplyDeleteLoved your reading with these! Visually, I notice that the challenge is two people trying to connect emotionally, while the gift is two people connecting through what they are doing, with someone else, or perhaps spirit, mediating... Makes a lot of sense for my week :)
Thanks! I rather like it to be different. The guidebook is more than excellent and it gives me something to sink my teeth into :)
