Seven of Water – Try them all

Today’s card is the Seven of Water from the Gaian Tarot. A man has been offered seven cups and he can choose only one to drink from. I wonder how he has made his decision. Did he take a whiff or maybe even a sip from each cup? Or is this considered cheating and do we have to be content with whatever we get. Hopefully, he has intuitively chosen the right cup, the right dream to follow through. The birds in the lake behind him don’t have to choose. They can have it all. Catch each and every fish they can get and swallow them if they taste good.

Today this card makes me feel a bit obstinate. I want to take a sip from every cup presented here. I want to try and taste them all. I want to know my options. Only then I can make a well-considered choice!

  1. He has so many choices, it would be hard to choose just one! I'd be tempted to take a quick sip from each one just to see if I liked it before making a firm decision. :D

  2. Sounds like an interesting day for you. Not to rain on the parade, but I'd say take caution in your choices. Sure take as much as you can, but well sipping from the wrong cup could bring not so good things. :) Some reason the princess and the poison apple comes to mind. Enjoy the day, but just remember a choice is an opportunity to make a decision. Best wishes.

    1. Ha ha Like indigestion. Perhaps taking that whiff first is not such a bad idea after all :)
Have a wonderful day yourself too Cher!

  3. Speaking of beverages, that is Mt. Rainier behind him, most famous for having Rainier beer named after it. Not PC to say it I suppose, but he has chosen the only drink in a plastic bottle. Is he to be commended? Or flogged because he will pitch it in the trash?

    1. Thank you for this lovely tidbit :)
Maybe he will recycle it in a bin for plastic. In The Netherlands each household has a bin for paper, one for plastic, one for organic waste and one for everything else. Glass we have to dispose of ourselves in bins for glass in the neighborhood.

  4. This reminds me of Lemon Zinger tea. I remember brewing this (I think it was/is Celestial Seasonings) and thinking that its aroma was so amazing, so rich, so fruity, so good. And then tasting it... which was a whole other experience - and not nearly as stunning as the smell. It felt like false advertising. So who knows! Maybe even catching a whiff isn't enough to present us with a full enough idea of what we might be in for! And hey, if we think of the "debauch" aspect of this card, maybe he is drinking all of the cups!! ;-D

    1. Lol! I think he will, considering the mood I was in when I wrote this post. :D
I mean if we don't try new things we'll never know if we'll like them or not

  6. I hope you drank your fill, Ellen! Sometimes, we need a bit of excess. Might regret it the next day, but then that will also help push you back to the one cup that matters - filling your cup from Source <3
