Ten of Cups – Sweet dreams

Today’s card is the Ten of Cups from The Legacy of the Divine Tarot. Life is good. We have everything we have wished for in the Nine of Cups and most of all we have someone to share our good fortune with.
Yes, we are home at last. We are safe, we are loved and we are emotionally fulfilled. Life is perfect just the way it is. It seems almost too good to be true.
When we feel like this, often we try to hold on too tightly; afraid this feeling of contentment might slip away again. And I am sorry to say, it will slip away and it will make way for sadness, anxiety or frustration because everything always changes.
If there is one thing I have learned from our dog is to enjoy the good times and to try not to worry about what might come next.
Then I was wondering what the dog and the cat were dreaming about and I pulled the Star… Yes, they have lived a live filled with conflicts and quarrels and maybe even with hate and jealousy but they have left it all behind them, knowing there is always a change to start over and embrace love.

  1. It's hard not to hold tight to something enjoyable, but it does crush the joy out of it. I see that Star like a fairy sprinkling magic and hope in their dreams: perhaps hope of a long walk outdoors, and a big bone to chew/fish to eat :D

    1. She reminded me of a fairy too. I adore it how the cat and the dog are sleeping so peacefully together in this card.

  2. But here, right now... Is a phrase I have to remind myself of often. As you said, things will change, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy what's happening at the moment. Ciro's Nine of Cups is one of my favorites! Anyone could look at that card and see contentment. :)

    1. I love that phrase Bev! it's a perfect mantra for when my mind wanders off to a doomsday scenario again

    1. Thanks Sharyn. Jofee is three years old now. He is such an adorable and clever little fellow. He and M are best friends for life. Wherever she goes he goes too.

  4. We hopefully will those moments of comfort and joy and know that they will sustain us on the not so good days. There is not much better than hanging out with our furry friends; they know how to live in the moment.

    1. Jofee is such a precious little boy. When he is sleeping on my lap it is so relaxing. I nod off a bit but not so much that I fall sleep, so I am constantly aware of this wonderful feeling
