Today’s card is from the Conscious Spirit
Oracle by Kim Dreyer and is called: Embrace Change. At the bottom of this
card we read the following affirmation:
“I move
easily and confidently through the changes of my life”
In the depiction
we see a woman with arms open wide before a gateway towards the light. She is still standing
in the moonlit night and the stairs will lead her into the sunlight. Two trees
make an archway before the portal.
Change
is often difficult and scary and the instigator of lots of anxiety but change
is also a natural occurrence in life: All things change. When we seek out the
positive aspect of change we may learn to embrace it instead of fighting it.
Change will lead us to growth one way or another. I've been trough many changes
in my life. Some were absolutely fantastic and some were intensely sad and many
were good and or necessary. But every change in my life has brought me growth
and has contributed to the woman I am
today.
Resisting
those changes will only bring more stress and fear. Since it is inevitable we might
as well go with the flow and make the best of it. We might even enjoy the process
that much, we will want to look for change ourselves!
"Change brings opportunities for us to try
And if we snooze, they’ll pass us by...
The past makes way for life anew
A future to look forward to
Lift your head, stare change in the eye
For you won’t know if you don’t try."

I like the sense of "flowing" in the artwork of this card, which illustrates that "going with the flow" quality. I suppose it is easier to accept rather than fight change - if it's going to happen, we can't do anything about it. But it's not always easy to do, that's for sure! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe we perceive change as difficult because that is when we notice change. When everything is changing smoothly we just go with the flow like nothing happens.
DeleteBeautiful card. Your words remind me of something I heard recently. Don't worry until it's time to worry. Or something to that nature. There's no need to worry about something that might or could happen, because if it's going to happen, well it will happen. Going with the flow is a great approach. Just take it as it comes, and move to the next experience.
ReplyDeleteHi Cher! Yes often worries are doing more damage to us than reality. Worries seem to exaggerate the situation immensely. We have a saying in Holland which says "Don't make and elephant out of a mosquito" :D
DeleteWhat a lovely card! Interesting, how we seem so often resistant to change. Your post reminded me of something Tierney Sadler wrote recently about happiness requiring other emotions to even recognise it, and suggesting we should seek contentment instead. And part of that is surely the acceptance of what is...
ReplyDeleteHappiness is like a Jack-in-the-box; then you see it then you don't, while contentment is like rag doll, soft an tender to hold and be comforted by ;)
DeleteWhat a beautiful description, Ellen! :)
