Ten of Wands - Overloaded

I couldn't have drawn a more fitting card for today: the Ten of Wands from the Original Rider Waite Tarot. After all the anxiety of the last week and everything that had to be done because life just goes on (although you would love to be able to push the pause button), I am so to speak dog-tired.
The guy in the picture is carrying his ten wands home. He doesn't watch where he is going anymore. He is just putting one foot in front of the other and is stumbling forward. But in the distance we can see his house; he is almost there. I hope he will make it. I am sure I will make it. I am sort of a workhorse and when I smell my stable,  I tend to run a bit faster; determent to get home even though I am already exhausted. So when I do get home, there is not much energy left. Perhaps just enough to make some coffee J
The advice for me today is to unload my wands at the doorstep, go inside, sit down, relax and restore my energy, because I think I have deserved it.

  1. You absolutely have. These times have been testing, but as with your exercise yesterday, there are gifts and things to be learned and appreciated in the darker and more testing times too. In actual fact, I'd say that all of our blessings are hidden somewhere beneath the murkier stuff and overcoming them and getting through them, as you have, is the reward.

Great description of this card. I could really feel his staggering in your writing.

    1. Thanks you! You are so right. Sometimes these blessings are even more fulfilling then the "easier" ones. We are all tired but the atmosphere is so peaceful; we are closer and more kind to eachother

  2. Your comment "when I smell my stable" made me laugh; I feel that way when I'm on the road heading home after being out of town. I have to be careful so I don't get a speeding ticket, lol. You DO deserve a day to do as little as possible (at least only what YOU want or what is absolutely necessary). Emotional tension can be quite draining physically and mentally. Pushing over a comfy chair and stool and pouring you a nice, hot cup of coffee now...

    1. With milk and sugar please :D
I do this sometimes when I am walking my dog in the evening. I almost walk faster than she does on the way home (I am also speeding in my car to get home to the annoyance of my girls :))

  3. Yes! Put those Wands down at your doorstep, take a deep breath, and treat yourself to something relaxing and pleasant. You deserve it.
