For
today I want do a three card daily spread with The Gaian Tarot. I only have
this deck for almost two weeks now and I must say I absolutely love it. I
suspected it to be to my liking but already I truly feel deeply connected to this deck. The
images in the cards are so captivating and easy to relate to. As soon as I see
one or more cards a story unfolds and the characters come to life.
For my
spread the positions are as follows:
1 The
general energy of the day
2 The
challenge of the day
3 The
gift of today
The general energy of the day: The Two of Earth
Like a
mother with two toddlers most of us juggle our daily chores and responsibilities;
trying to give attention at the most pressing things first. Sometimes life can
be so demanding we go on autopilot to make the best of it.
The challenge of the day: The Magician
The challenge
is to try to be like The Magician. No not to conjure up a magic wand but to be
totally engaged in what we are doing in the present moment: poring our love an devotion into our task and experience how much more fluid and easy we can do things.
The gift of today: Three of Water
Look at these three otters; life is full of pleasure for them. They are so carefree and playful by nature. At the end of the day we can, just like the otters, relax with our loved ones. Share how our day has been and just be happy and have fun together.
The overall message is to find balance in the magic of the present moment and chose joy!
What a beautiful reading, Ellen! I just love that Three of Water outcome - you and your girls sharing good times at the end of the day :) And yes, that Magician certainly has flow and presence. Wishing you all of that and more today!
ReplyDeleteThank you Chloe. Sometimes a message can be crisp and clear and o so welcome.:)
DeleteWishing you a wonderful flowing day too!
Hugs
I know some people don't care for the Gaian (too hippie and Whole Foods they say), but I love it. The Magician sold the deck for me. I've been in drum circles where I experienced being in that "zone" where all thought of technique, rhythm and people fade away and the music plays itself. Pure magic indeed!
ReplyDeleteI've done it one time only and it was the most natural thing to do. Each of the circle members adding their own rhythm or following their neighbor's.It is pity drumming on your own is less captivating (in my experience)
DeleteHippy and whole foods: I have the perfect age for this deck LOL
I wear my tie-dye proudly. :D
DeleteWell, as a, what I call I was a fringe Hippie ( I wasn't quite old enough in 1965 to be a full fledged Hippie) but I wanted to be, awful bad, so I really like this deck! Very groovy reading Ellen! :) <3
ReplyDeleteGroovy!!! it has been a long time since I've heard that word! lol
DeleteI wanted to be a hippy too, but was also too young. I did the back to nature, vegetarian, wooden shoes thing. Spun my own wool and knitted cardigans etc
Life was so simple back then
Hugs
Lovely reading! I can tell you have a strong connection to these cards.
ReplyDeleteThank you Zanna! They do seem to grow on me very quickly :)
DeleteGreat reading. Love the overall message you pulled from the cards. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Cher
Delete:) You inspired me to do my own with this. I got Wheel of Fortune, 8 of Swords, and Star. The message: Allow the change to occur. You are not trapped, but guided. Destiny is stepping in. I just need to follow and have faith. I don't have to control everything. :)
ReplyDeleteI like how you've interpreted your cards. I use this spread quite often. It is quick and concise and you get a lot from it. :)
