Express Your Individuality! How hard can that be?

Magical Messages from the Fairies
For a little breathing space I drew this card from the Magical Messages from the Fairies by Doreen Virtue. But it turned out to be a card with a rather striking message: Express Your Individuality – Allow your true self to shine because you’re awesome! This fairy is an elderly lady with a purple dress, striped stockings and red hat. She is totally at ease and comfortable with who she is. She is proud of herself. Not for what she has accomplished or for what people think of her but purely for who she is: Herself.
Being your true self and not being afraid to show your enormous potential, talents and power is another life long journey for many of us. Most of us are raised not to stand out in a crowd. Not to be different than everybody else. This has taken root during our  puberty  and later on in life some of us have made some progress to detach from this peer pressure. But who can truly say they are comfortable to stand out and feel safe to shine and be great. When I come across these kind of people I envy them…
The guidebook says:
“You drew this card because you worry about social acceptance. The Fairies want to celebrate your uniqueness, since to them you’re delightful and perfect just as you are right now. The Fairies love your creativity, and they urge you to just be yourself. Don’t squelch your true self in order to gain others’ approval. Pretending doesn't work anyway, and you can’t please everyone. Instead, enjoy being authentic and trust that like-minded people will be attracted to you."
Perhaps it all starts out with fully accepting and loving who we are, so we will be completely comfortable with our own perfect individuality. Don’t hide your own light. The next step can be showing our real radiant selves to others
Have fun in exploring you awesome self!

  1. Even at my age, I find this hard to do at times. Often it's because I don't want to get in a dead-end debate with someone about my beliefs and ideas if I express them. But every now and then I get stopped by that whisper in my head of "What will they think of me?" I know some folks who are "a rebel without a cause" :). They love to show how unique and different they are, but I'm not sure they actually are original. I think they suffer from (as Avril Lavigne sings) "anything but ordinary." :D

    1. Those are certainly not the people I envy. I think they're even more insecure than "ordinary" people
I am less insecure than I used to be.(I love my age) but sometimes I'm afraid I will quench my light before it radiates to the fullest

  2. I had a chapter of the Red Hat Society early in this century, for four years. It taught me to laugh. A late lesson to discover in my 50's. I can't believe how little real laughter there had been in my life up to then.

  3. It's a pity some of us learn this later on in life. but then again be grateful you did.The last couple of years has been the most difficult and at the same the most freeing in my life.
I didn't know the red heat society was a real thing I thought is was a joke lol! I am going to read up about it

  4. I love this card! I can see by reading your blog that you have a firm personility, and you express your individuality in each word you write, in each analysis you do of your readings, in each detail you publish. I have to say that sometimes, in this beautiful friendship between bloggers, I feel like I have known you from long time ago. Muchas Estrellas!!!!!!!

    1. My dear Las Magas, what a lovely comment. I can only say thank you so much. This means a lot to me. I try to write form my heart.but since this is no my own language, I feel sometimes inadequate to express what I really want to say. So I am very happy to meet people here who appreciate my efforts and whom I can call my friends after a few months
      Many stars to you too

You express perfectly what you mean, and I'm sure all our friends bloggers will agree!!! :) I'm happy too, because one day, (upto that moment I only read a lot of tarot blogs), and I don't know why, I met myself writing a blog. Then I understood, that this happened because I had to know beautiful people like you and all our new blogger friends!!!! :) Thank you for the many stars!!!!!!!!!!
