Queen of Wands - To Life!

Tarot of the Hidden Realm Queen of Wands
This morning I got up a bit earlier than usual with the intention to meditate, draw a tarot card and journal about it. I even lit a candle for the occasion. And what a wonderful way to start the day it was. I wonder if I will be able to remember this until tomorrow morning. Just kidding! Since I am not a long distant runner and terrible with challenges, I will try to do this morning “routine”  for a week from today and I promise myself not to beat myself up if I skip a day.
My card for today is the Queen of wands from the Tarot of the Hidden Realm. Look at her cheeky smile as if she is saying: “I told you so, everything will be okay. Even if you don’t feel my warmth and my fiery energy for a while, it doesn’t mean I have abandoned you. I am always on your side. Together we can accomplish anything, even a a nagging and paralyzing depression. So smile my dearest, take a walk, create, dance, write, cook, anything will do as long as you do something, even if it  seems you are only pretending. Action is the way of out of sadness. So go for it girl and life!"
Somehow the cards in this deck are so talkative. I used to find them very hard to read with but nowadays they word so perfectly what I need to hear.

  1. Ha ha. That is a cheeky grin, for sure. She definitely looks like someone who enjoys life. It's enough to make anyone smile.

  2. She is just full of sass and energy! :) 12 Steppers have a saying - One day at a time - which I think applies here. I can do anything for one day that might seem impossible for a month or a lifetime.

  4. I've found most challenges fail with me because they are just that. Someone else's challenge.

  5. You work so well with this deck. I love the artwork and keep pulling it off the shelf but I can't get it to sing as you do. Hope you enjoyed your life day!

    1. Thank you so much Laylah. It turned out to be not so difficult actually: You just have to imagine what the character would say to you in a certain situation or how he/she would answer your question. Don't give up on it. It took me quite while too. I even returned my first copy to buy an other one soon afterwards because I loved the artwork. :)

  6. Thank you for this great affirming post today Ellen! Exactly what I needed to read! Had a rough day yesterday feeling overwhelmed and discouraged with myself. But managed to share it with a group I attend, which wasn't so easy, and this made a big difference because I have some clarity and know what actions I now need to take. Made be realize once again how important it is to talk it out in order for it to make sense of my world. Big Thank you Hugs Ellen!<3

    1. "feeling overwhelmed and discouraged with myself": Sometimes it helps to know we all feel like that from time to time. When we share our problems we often discover that others have the same problems as we do.
I am to hear you have found some direction to move forward again

  7. I so love this: "So smile my dearest, take a walk, create, dance, write, cook, anything will do as long as you do something, even if it seems you are only pretending. Action is the way of out of sadness." I read it the day you originally wrote it, and it this phrase helped me over a bit of an emotional hump. Many many hugs your way.

  8. She looks like she's on fire, and has lots of fun plans. I can't imagine her ever saying, "No, I don't have anything on today." :D I loved what you say about action being a way out of sadness. Certainly, the chemicals released through exercise give you a happy buzz!
Hope you managed to find some moments of joy, despite a busy week and needing to care for your mother, Ellen dear :)
