For today, instead of drawing a card I picked the tarot card for this post myself and it is the Four of Swords from the Universal Tarot. This is the card to symbolize recovery and healing. The last couple of days I am not feeling very well. I think I've got a touch of flu or a cold. So it is nothing serious but it is enough to drain me from my the last bits of leftover winters'energy. I do read everybody's blog but that is about it for now. My own cards are safely tucked away, waiting for my recovery. I think it is good to step away from the cards when you're not feeling well. I guess they would mirror my apathy more than anything else.
I don't know how long this will last; maybe a few days maybe a bit longer. I just wanted you all to know there is nothing to worry about and I hope to be back soon!
Glad you are resting and taking care of yourself. That is definitely a sign of maturity and wisdom! Healing hugs to you my friend.
ReplyDeleteThis card and post resonates well with me! I'm not so much recuperating from illness, but taking some "hermit" time, being quiet, going within. In fact it is today that I've finally posted after a month, which is a big lapse for me! I probably should have done what you have done, and notified readers, but..... it kind of crept up on me. I hope you feel better. Enjoy your peace-time, drink lots of nice tea, and enjoy the early signs of spring!
ReplyDeleteAnd being the Swords suit don't forget to allow any negative thoughts you might have about resting and recuperating to fall into the background. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel back in form soon again Ellen. Nice to be able to take a break when you need it. Not enough of us do this when we aren't feeling well. The snow bugs are out now, catching rays, and Spring is on it's way! Not long before it will be here!
ReplyDeleteSending you warm Spring healing wishes, Ellen. Mental and physical rest is shown in this card - relax and indulge in some time away from the general hubbub. Hugs to you :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear the weekend sunshine didn't help burn away all those bugs. Hope you feel better soon, dear Ellen!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better, Ellen! Your presence is missed! :)
ReplyDeleteI want to thank everybody for your kind and heartfelt wishes. Physically I do feel a lot better although I am sorry to say I feel a bit in a rut mentally. I am very tired and it is hard for me to do anything creative like writing a blogpost. My mind goes blank and it makes me feel sad because it seems like I have nothing to write about anymore
ReplyDeleteI am going to take it slow because I've been down that road before and I don't want to go there again.
Hopefully it is just a temporary hiccup and I will soon be out and about again. The coming of Spring will hopefully do me some good :)
