Two of Rods: not choosing is also a choice

What a card to start the day with. The first thing I notice is the man is holding his cheek and I think: “That's the wrong side!” :D. I am happy to say I feel a lot better already. So now on to this card from the Anna K Tarot, which by the way I am so enthusiastic about. My pictures don’t do the cards any justice. The colors are so vibrant and alive and the  pictures are very self-explanatory. Look at how depressed he is because he doesn't know what to do or where to go. Who doesn't feel for him. Weren't we all at the crossroads at least once; at its worst daily?
Being there, feeling that way can be exhausting. Sometimes if you don’t know what to choose you just have to pick the best option and live with the consequences. At least you are on your way again. And if things don’t work out you can always find your way back and choose a different route or notice the crossroads (your options) have changed all together by your previous choice
It is not always that simple, but I know it to be true. And if you decide to stay there for  a while longer, know that is already a choice in itself
Anna K : “The Two of Rods means a situation in which we feel damned to inaction because we have to make a choice between several paths and can't decide. The readiness is missing to engage in anything; we feel lethargic, numbed and at the same time under great pressure. But we just don't have the energy and determination needed to depart on one of our possible paths.”
This morning, while reading a few blogs I found a very applicable  spread from The Emerald Toad  to help you choose.

  1. Glad you're feeling better, and hope M finds a blanket of calm around her as she goes through her procedure.
Not knowing which road to take is a heavy burden. I forget that asking for help or direction can give me information that might help me in my decision. But it is so easy to sit there and be overwhelmed like this guy!

    1. Asking for help is not my strong point either. I tend to brood and wait until magically the best option is falling my lap :D

  2. I like this card! The Wildwood calls it "decision" and I see it as being one of great creative potential - depending on what you do with the energy. I always think "restlessness" with this card… ready to move onto something new, the time where the doorway is created and you have to choose whether or not to walk through it….. Thanks for sharing because I don't have the Anna K deck and it's nice to see some more of the images! I'm glad you're feeling better about your dental visit!!!

    1. Thanks Olivia. As I've said, In reality the cards are so much more beautiful. Doors are a good metaphor for choices. It takes courage to go trough them; to take that first step across the threshold

  4. Ah yes, I do know that bad feeling that comes when you can't decide. I recently had a choice and did a reading that made things so stunningly clear. Card 1 at the top: What do I hope to accomplish? Card 2 and 3 under that (options a and b) and then 3 cards under each option: benefits, downside, how am I likely to feel if I choose this option? Pay close attention to how the paths relate to the 1st card at the top. Which option leads best to the desired outcome?

  5. Ah yes, I totally understand this feeling presented by the card, and love how this deck expresses it. It's important fore one to really realize, as said in the post, not choosing a path is actually choosing to stay on the same course. I'll have to check out this deck, add it to my 'wish list.' :)
