Today’s
card is the Six of Swords from the Wild Unknown Tarot. A card of breathing out and accepting the situation
we are in. Only after we have accepted our (mental) struggle, we can begin to
change our ways of thinking into more positive and healthy thought patterns. In this depiction we see six swords laying at the bottom
of the card, apparently in the pouring rain or as I first thought, at the bottom
of a well. It doesn’t make so much difference because the arching colorful rainbow
at the top of the card is the most significant aspect of this version of the
Six of Swords. The card is urging us to move our gaze upward: to look beyond the darkness
and see the rainbow, the symbol of hope.
I once came across a very fitting acronym
of hope: Hold On, Pain Ends. Only after we stop fighting the darkness, the
light can enter our mind during the moments of peaceful acceptance that this
too will pass.
“Hope is the only thing stronger than fear”
Such a simple but profound image. I may not know what the future holds, but I know if I want to reach that rainbow I must change the way I think about things!
ReplyDeleteQuite right! I hope your future brighter soon my dear
DeleteWho doesn't love a rainbow. The gift after the storm. Hope you are not in the path of any stormy events. Maybe pick up one of those swords and cut away that veil of darkness to get to your rainbow. Take Charge!
ReplyDeleteTake charge is the best thing we can do in a situation like this. The rainbow is a great encouragement to step out of the darkness. I feel a bit low lately but it's nothing I can't handle. Thank you
DeleteLoving the acronym!
ReplyDeleteThanks! me too!!
DeleteI love your interpretation of this card. Thanks for sharing it! I'm working on doing my daily draws too and it's so helpful to read other perspectives.
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel! Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for your kind words and enjoy your daily draws :)
DeleteI really love this deck. I've read online that some people find it a challenging deck to read with, but I find there to be so much to work with in its simple images. This card is a great example of that. I often think of this card as a paradigm shift.... you move beyond the limitations of what you thought possible before to discover that there is so much more available... you turn your head to look not to the past, but to focus on what might come next. There is a liberation in this card. That rainbow says quite a lot! :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! the only cards I still find quite challenging are the animal court cards but I do have that same problem with the Wildwood Tarot.:)
DeleteThat acronym is amazing! I'm doing some work right now on letting go of old pains, and it's powerful stuff. If there is hope at the end, then it's worth it :)
ReplyDeleteSending you some comforting and encouraging thoughts my dear Chloe!
