For today I have taken a break from the Mary El Tarot. A
kind of breathing space you could say. Sometimes when I read with a deck for a while, it can get too intense and then I like
to shift to lenormand or oracle cards. Not that I value those less but they do
touch a different part of me and each system addresses a situation in their own
unique way.
So for today I’ve picked the Enchanted Lenormand. The
first card would be the topic of my question since I didn't have a pressing
question to ask.
I've pulled The Diviner. So the first thing that came to mind was: why
does reading cards appeal to me so much; why is this such a passion of me?
The next
cards are: Moon, rider, key and coffin:
- Messages from the unconscious will unlock blocked thinking patterns
- Stirring my dreamscapes will be the key to freedom
- Creative activities will be the solution for my depression
- Moon + coffin: numbed emotional life
- Key +rider; revealing message
I escaped the lenormand rage sweeping the world with just two decks :) But I am looking forward to purchasing Chloe's Celtic Lenormand!
ReplyDeleteI have bought some (too many) classic decks as a soother to help me quit smoking. They were cheaper than tarot decks :)
DeleteThe Celtic... Yes I am looking forward to that one too. It will probable (hopefully) be my last deck
Lovely messages, Ellen! I find changing deck, or from Lenormand to tarot and back, is great for kicking me out of a rut. So, maybe the Celtic won't be the last, and that's okay, too ;)
DeleteThanks Chloe!
DeleteThis Is why I convince myself from time to time buying decks is okay and not an excessive behavior :D
I like how both the key and the rider seem to be heading toward the Diviner. Cards are definitely a way for me unlock doors I need to see behind and hear messages that will help me on my way! :)
ReplyDeleteOnce I allowed myself to read them intuitively, connect them together, see stories etc the doors opened :)
DeleteYeah!! I've been waiting for a Lenormand post and it came :-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing how you read the cards and combinations. So many blogs/videos are very literal and predictory in nature. Beautiful reading- such clarity and inspiration. Is the Diviner specific to this deck?
Thanks so much for sharing this!
Hi Monsoon! I like to read the cards this way. They are mirroring me and giving me insight in what is going on inside. You should check out the Lenormand posts from "Inner whispers" She read the cards like this too
DeleteThank you for your kind words!
Great post. After the mention of the new deck by Chloe, I had to go look. Dang it temptation. Love the images she's produced for these. Not sure I can convince myself that I need another deck. :) But, it should be too hard.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cher!
DeleteChloe's deck is definitely I must have deck for me. I would love to combine it with other decks painted by Will Worthington :)
I especially like your first interpretation - may it be so :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Kerry It is a work in progress. :)
DeleteIt's a good thing I think to really examine why we read the cards, because sometimes maybe we can loose sight of this, and into ruts.
ReplyDeleteI am finding the deeper I can delve into the reasons I read Tarot, the more meaning I find, and can relate to the cards enabling me to apply them to more aspects of my life.
These are beautiful cards you've posted Ellen.
Thanks Catherine I like them too :D
DeleteYes, each time around we can can peel off another layer of meaning.
