The Singer of healing – Start Hummmmmming

Faeries' Oracle The Singer of HealingToday’s card is The Singer of Healing from The Faeries’ Oracle.  This card is all about healing of body mind and spirit. Much like a holistic healer this singer sings his song over every part of our being, to heal our injuries and restore our balance. But before he can sing for us we have to accept there is something amiss.  The next step is to be willing to receive healing. To open ourselves up; to ask for help. Perhaps this is the most difficult part of a healing process; admitting we need help.
Sometimes we aren’t even aware we do need help. We have become so proficient in hiding, denying or numbing our pain to a point that we have become unaware that there is something wrong .
I have discovered that accepting I need healing  in an early stage of my affliction is definitely speeding things up  for the better. I am more susceptible for advice and suggestions on how to move forward and away from my feelings of depression.

This time around I have been (at first reluctantly)participating in an IG challenge to create your own oracle deck. by Kristen from @otmoraclecards
It was  a bit scary because I hadn’t painted in months. Then it became almost addictive and I painted several cards a day. Now things are settling down again and I feel  so much more confident and less downhearted.  Again, I had to make the decision get better, to start painting  but after that The Singer of Healing started to hummmmm….

  1. It's been wonderful seeing all the cards you've been painting. They look beautiful! I'm glad it has been a good experience for you! Plus you create your own oracle deck by the end of it, how does it get any better than that!? :D

    1. Thank you. Although having a personal oracle deck wasn't my main goal to participate it is a very welcome bonus :D

  2. When I took my road trip the other day, I had made a cd of bass-thumping songs to sing along to as I drove. I didn't realize how much stress I was carrying until I started to sing and felt my body relax.

Those cards are GORGEOUS Ellen! Watercolor is a medium I love but was never able to master. If I beg, will you put these on Gamecrafter so we can buy a set when you finish? :D

I am not sure yet how I feel about sharing this deck yet. It is rather personal.

  3. Oh, your cards are beautiful, Ellen! The one that first drew my eye is the journal and the cup (of tea for me) :D Looking deeper, they are all lovely <3 I'm glad you've been enjoying the process, as well as getting such a wonderful oracle deck from it. Hope to get back onto IG soon, and will check out all your delights ;)

  6. Such beautiful cards. I was looking on your IG this morning and wondering if you would share them here.

Taking a first step in anything we haven't done for a while IS scary - well done you for doing so and what a wonderful outcome.

  8. There is so much joy here, Ellen. It doesn't discount the darkness but rather lives side by side with it. Honoring both is the dance.

And I, too, am loving the oracle cards you're creating. The finished result is lovely but it's lovelier still to know you've felt bright enough to take this project on. Sending hugs. xoxo

    1. Thanks you Rose! Honestly I wouldn't like it if I had to miss my darkness entirely. It makes me who I am and it deepens my soul. The broken places, the scars are in hindsight my most valuable treasures .

  9. I am so glad and thankfull for finding you on IG and then here. Have been reading many, many of your older posts. There is so much knowledge and passion in every one ! For a nearly newbee in the world of tarot and oracle it can be overwhelming to find ones own path/style/preferences.

Telling and showing and sharing your life with up and downs, left and rights, wrongs and truths - is so so so stepping over the boundaries (don't know if the word is right - like going over the border ? hope you know what I mean) but it help's so much on the other side of the computer.

For me it's a great present/gift ? because I'm not able to go out from my home because of anxiety/panic attacks, afraid of many people at one place, ... unfortunately i although have depression and PTSD. People like me are very lonely, because who want's a friend who can't get out or is cancelling many appointments ? I totally understand and respect this reaction !

What i mean is, I love to read your postings, your thoughts, your explaing how you see and interpret the cards !!! really - it's like sitting and talking with a dear friend where you share things.
Thank you for doing that, thank you for showing how your daily life is - good and bad day's ! make me feel I'm not alone and give's courage and trust an hope to continue and start once more again !

thank you for inviting into your life and sharing it - your helping much more person's you can imagine !

your art is so beautiful to look at ! love the watercolours !

the different postings about your decks is so useful and gives an understanding for me the newbee :))

I hope you don't understand my words wrong or even that I step over a border, becaus it is not meant so.
wanted to let you know how much your effort helps me and other's !

sending much of light to you, vibes of autumn from the north (little kingdom of denmark)

    2. dear ellen !
thank you so much for your reply/answer. for me it means although much and i am relived that you understood my words and the meaning right !!! <3
getting in contact with you has made a difference for me. it kind of lift's my day - i am so so pleased about your older post's - especially about decks and how you use them and feel about them.
have to ask you something - i can 't find the one and only deck for me. i definetly have some i really really love so so much but still to say this one i would always use hasn't come up yet. did or do you have it so ?
can it maybe come when more practice and knowledge with tarot is settling in ?
i have decided after reading different reviews to buy the gaia tarot - i am very fond of the pictures/drawings. another one i think would be good to learn with is the anna k. tarot. i love the way of drawing and clarity.
      i already have collected/bought a couple of tarot's and oracle's (...a way too much :))) )

tarot: mary-el, wild unknown, dreaming way, druid craft, wild wood, llewelyn, aquarius, nicolla ceccoli, tooth, rws, angel tarot - doreen virtue,

oracle: mother mary, kuan yin, wild kuan yin, sacred rebels, les vampires, dragon fairy, mary magdalene, a couple of doreen virtue's, an german angel oracel,

and still i have the need to get a new one - how comes that ? in me there is something which draws me to the card's and sometimes even the believe/obsession that exactly "this one, could be the changer/dooropener/helper" in my unsecure, depressiv and way to much thinking and thinking and thinking way in my daily life.

on IG i will leave you a comment but i'm so unsecure about posting - would someone like to read about a beginner ? can't give advice or help to other's.

so sorry about so many questions and many thoughts - really promise to feel free to answer or not. take so much care about you !!!

sending a big and warm hug to you and have a nice day. love to you and M ! xox nicole

    3. Hi Nicole!
I think for a "beginner" you already have a broad variety of decks. Searching for the one and only can become a pitfall because who knows if something like that really exists? Maybe your soul deck is the one you are most comfortable with. For me this is the RWS because that is the deck I started out with. It is not a glamorous or trendy deck but we seem to speak the same language. My advice is to read with what you have, toss the guidebooks away and converse with you cards , don't write anything down yet, just chat and play with a deck you feel drawn to at the moment. and have fun!!! Don't tak it too seriously
If you feel insecure with you own decks then a new deck isn't going to fix it. Give it time and enjoy the journey and remember you can not make a mistake when you read the cards. It is all about what you see in them and that can be entirely different than what others see
      Hugs
      Ellen

PS every comment is welcome my dear
