My words for 2016

This  year I’ve had some difficulty choosing my word for the year. Previous years my word had always come naturally to me; distinguished itself gradually from  other options but this time around I couldn’t make up my mind and was left with three words, equally appealing to me. So I made a daring decision: This year is my year, so why not have three words.  I am free to do whatever I with my word of the year so without further ado here they are:
(Drumroll………………………)
Osho Zen Tarot

Attention

This year I want to try to really pay attention to the present moment instead of wasting it to worries and regrets.  The present moment is all we really have so I want to make the most of it

Letting go

Letting go fear and control will encourage me to embrace what is here and now and to step in each moment with an open mind.

Trust

I want to trust that  everything I experience  in my life will bring me more understanding of who I am and will help me to become who I am supposed to be and most importantly that everything will be okay

Last but not least, my motto for this year is:
Everything will be okay, so let go and let God(des)

Do you have a word or motto for the coming year?

  1. I like the Moment to Moment phrase. If a person is always focused on whats next then they will never enjoy the current experience. The same goes for getting stuck on past events that are done and no longer in a person's control. It is a good intention for anyone to take on. Be present in the here and now. I very much like how the additional words support it too. I'm sure it will lead to great things for you! :)

    1. I sincerely hope so. It was hard to chose just one because they do fit together so well! :)

  2. Isn't it freeing to be flexible in making a choice for yourself (as in drawing three instead of one)? :) Your words seem to flow one into the other, so though there are three parts, it feels like a whole. I'm going to have a word/spiritual principle for each month this year (I'm using the oracle I made - see my blog - to draw one for each month).

    1. They do feel like parts of a whole indeed. :)
Do you refer to your Lojong oracle or the Principles to Live By?

    2. I'll actually be using them both - one lojong slogan a week and one principle (from Principles to Live By) a month. :)

  5. What wonderful words! I especially love Attention. This is relevant to me, even as of this morning. I was sitting at a red light thinking about how my first morning back at work after the holidays would be. I started to wonder if I'd have a lot of emails, and if there would be any major problems I needed to tend to. I started to worry that I might be missing something critical. And then I just thought - "Look, there is absolutely nothing you could do about it right now anyway. Be where you are." So I just "was" and it was very calming and centering. I wish you a wonderful year full of attention, release, and deep trust in yourself and all that the universe has in store for you. Many hugs!
