Today’s
card is “The perfection of your life” from the Sacred Rebels Oracle.
Initially I thought
what a “Woo Woo” card. My life is everything but perfect. I’ve got lots of mundane
problems and worrying on my mind. And on
top of that I feel spiritually lost in the woods……Maybe it is the woods in this depiction where I am wandering. Trying so hard to find my way out. Being such a problem
solver, this must be a piece of cake Then I notice the mandala in the earth: a
flower of life, a source of life-giving energy which is working its way up to nourish
the forest and every living creature therein. See how the trees draw this
energy in and all the way up until they are brimming with life.
And then I
ask what do I have to do to experience this caring loving energy. And I pull The Chariot of The Wild Unknown Tarot and I feel I have to read this card as a
challenge. Today this card is asking me to stop right here and now and to take
care of my sweating dead-tired horse. We both need some downtime and nourishment from that
mandala . What better way to show my gratitude for this gift than to appreciate
the course of my life. For it has brought me here and now and there is no place
I would rather be.
And now I am
going to treat myself with coffee and chocolate in my garden. The sun is shining,
the airs is crisp, birds are singing and that is perfect enough for me today.
Maybe you should just camp out in the forest for a while instead of trying to find your way out. It could be relaxing there under the canopy of trees. And there's no telling what you could learn if you were open and receptive instead of trying to figure everything out. (I say this because I am this way too! I like to fix problems and find solutions, not rest with them. :D)
ReplyDeleteI love you idea of putting up a tent. A bit like Rose's Lodge.
DeleteAnd yes my friend we are like two peas in pod :D
The Women's Lodge - now I like the sound of that! :)
DeleteMe, too. Earlier today I was getting a lovely vision of a virtual Women's Lodge--a place for us all to gather and share, drink tea together, give each other foot massages, laugh and cry, dance, drum, sing, purify, pray, shout...
DeleteMy brain never turns off. Always worrying about things I cannot fully control. Always thinking about the next thing...the next step. It's good to get a reminder to rest now and then.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your pause in the garden!
(and now some hot apple cider for me!)
Enjoy your apple cider!! I am glad to have my cards to give me these much needed reminders :D
DeleteWell I think we should all join you in the garden with thermoses of something hot and our favorite decks :)
ReplyDeleteNow wouldn't that be awesome! Imagining this puts a big smile on my face :D
DeleteGah. I wrote a long comment and somehow I managed to delete it! So what I was saying is... that I will be along with Rose, because every time you mention your garden and coffee, that's the only place I want to be! Also, your post reminded me of a time when I was about 13 years old and I was in a shop with my mom who was buying me a dream catcher made by an indigenous lady. My mom was noticing that some were "perfect" and others were not (this Western idea that "perfect" is better, I suppose). The lady said, "Dream catchers aren't supposed to be perfect. They are each unique, each has its own sort of signature. Dream catchers aren't perfect because life isn't perfect. So what you really want in a dream catcher is to see those little imperfections. That's how you that it's perfect." I never forgot that. (My mom got me an imperfect one ;-) Life is perfect imperfection. All of our lives are imperfect. I suppose there is some comfort in that, somewhere! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow thanks for sharing your memory. It reminded me of something similar. Years ago I was in a new age shop where I saw a Labradorite sphere with a few flaws. I asked the owner for the shop if he had one without the imperfections and he taught me the same thing how life isn't perfect either. I bought the sphere and loved it ever since
DeletePs You are always welcome in my garden :)
Hugs
A sunny spot in the garden with some little treats and the intention to be loving to yourself does sound about as close to perfection as life can get :) Hope you ended up having a beautiful day, Ellen!
ReplyDeleteI did, thank you Chloe. It is often in the little things we find true happiness :)
