Wildwood Tarot |
The last
card of the Wildwood Tarot deck is the king of material world: The King of Stones (pentacles) - Wolf. This wolf is confident and he knows
his strength and the responsibility which comes with his position. His strength
and character have put him there. He advises us to mark our territory, knowing and respecting and defending our
boundaries and to protect our pack. He also knows it is important to stay
strong for the same reasons: He takes
the first pick of the food. No putting yourself last for this guy.
There are
also wolves who live alone by choice or
by necessity.
I am still the
leader of my pack (protective) but I am also in my core a lone wolf.(independent,
hermit) I need time for myself alone as hard as I need breathing.
Sometimes these
two wolf aspects are hard to combine but most of the time if I let my lone wolf
howl at the full moon once in a while it is working out just fine. I have to
remember to set boundaries for my pack as well as for myself.
I desperately need alone time each day, if only for an hour, to keep my head on straight! But I do enjoy being part of a pack too. :)
ReplyDeleteSince M is often at home I love to spend some time in my room each day. reading meditating or just doing nothing.
DeleteHi Ellen! Beautiful card! I think the wolf has a lot of wisdom too and it's very powerful. I enjoy a lot to be alone for a while drinking my beloved cup of coffee :) while thinking and clearing my ideas. MuchÃsimas (=a lot lot) Estrellas!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you LM. What would we do without our cup of coffee!! we are a lot alike, I think :)
DeleteI love this card… the wolf has so much to teach, it always seems to be challenging us to go further, to leap outside of our comfort zones. And the moon shining the power of our higher selves and intuition down upon the snow… ahhh love it. I like that the wolf is in general very solitary, yet keeps its loved ones very close.
ReplyDeleteI can tell you can relate to this animal very well too. The wolf was the first animal I grew close to spiritually. Later came the owl, the bear and the hare. I am glad to have two decks now with all kind of animals which can teach us so much.:)
