The Tower - I am only human

The druidcraft tarot The Tower
Yesterday morning I drew The Tower from the Druidcraft Tarot as my focus card for my daily Lenormand reading.  Not the most favorable card for a daily draw. The question I derived from this card was: What will shock me and/or undermine my confidence in an abrupt way?
From the Celtic Lenormand I pulled: cross, ring and clouds. I see cross and ring as a commitment to my spirituality. All my cards together looked like a rather unsuspected and emotional test of my spiritual beliefs. Again nothing too look forward to…
The day went by and nothing happened and honestly I totally forgot all about my cards until late at night when I went to bed to read a few pages in one of the books on my tablet.

Since the battery was almost empty I had connected it to my brand-new charger cable. (A replacement for the one that died on me after about two weeks). I started reading and after a few seconds I noticed again the red cross in the battery icon: the G*dd*mm*t, F*ck  and Sh*t’s  broke the silence in my sleeping room. Ample moments later I noticed I hadn’t fully pushed the plug in its charging port. When I did so my battery was charging again….. And then I remembered my cards…
An electrical setback causes such emotional distress that I forgot all about my beliefs and started swearing ( which of course normally I never do!).
Often such minor events can be tracked back literally to our daily draw. Look how the lightning strikes The Tower…

The Sun - Finding Peace

Druidcraft Tarot The Sun
Today’s card is the Sun from the Druidcraft Tarot. We see a boy riding a horse on a summer's day. The sun is directly behind his head so we can only see its rays. This card is about everything joyful and happy we can think of.  It's also about confidence and vitality, about having the courage to put yourself and your talents out there,  so everyone can see how magnificent you truly are. But too often we don’t; feel like this and we are tempted to chase this illusive happiness in the outer world. We buy things, we eat things and yes they do make us happy, for a while, and then we have to hunt for more.
So my question for the Celtic Lenormand was: where to find a more lasting joy and I was quite surprised by the cards I pulled:

Lily + Cross + bear

Celtic Lenormand lily cross bear
In the center there is the cross; for me the card of spiritual beliefs and faith. In this context I see the lily as a symbol of harmony and inner peace. The bear is all about strength and courage and standing up for who you are and what you believe. These cards tell me that instead of chasing  happiness, I should turn inside to my spiritual beliefs and find there the inner peace and strength to bask in that sunlight which is a beautiful symbol of the Divine light shining from without and within every moment of our life. (whether we are aware of it or not)

Lenormand – practice, practice, practice!

This morning I figured it was about time I picked up my Lenormand cards again to practice my reading skills so when my copy of the Celtic Lenormand would arrive, I would be able to work with it. For this line of five I have chosen the Gilded Reverie by Ciro Marchetti. The question is: what advice can you give me on how to pursue my challenge of “Making room in 40 days”?
After shuffling the cards I searched for the ring as a symbol of my commitment to this challenge and picked the two cards on either side of the ring. Together they form a line of five with:
whip + cross + ring + heart + sun

Gilded Reverie Lenormand, whip, broom, cross, ring, heart, sun

Cross+ ring+  heart : it is important to devote yourself spiritually and emotionally to this commitment.
Whip + cross : establishing some repetitive spiritual practices can be very helpful
Sun +heart:  Give yourself permission to bask yourself in the light of self love
Whip + sun : although there will be difficulties, maybe self-doubt and other  and inner  struggles, this challenge will  strengthen your confidence and will give you  a lot of insight in yourself

These cards gave me lots of practical advice. Especially about  creating some daily rhythm, so there will be some flow during the day and I won’t be constantly aware of the things I cannot do but more focusing on what I can and want to do. Honestly it feels a bit like when I quit smoking but with the heart and the sun in view I am on my way again!

Three card Lenormand spread - Confusion

Yesterday’s decision to pick up a lenormand instead of a tarot deck suited me just fine. The reading was to the point but not to in depth. It was not so easy to find some peace and quiet for myself though. Putting a chair in the garden is simple but silencing my inner babbler wasn't. And also life has a way of putting tons of distractions on your path when the only thing  you want is to be left alone and rest.
One thing which was rather tiring and distracting yesterday is that I've received my hearing aid. OMG, I didn't remember how noisy the world was. It is fun though to put it out for a while, when you want to have some calm moments
Finally I did manage to create a simple abstract collage which was very relaxing to do.

Gilded Reverie Lenormand,stork, anchor, cross

So back to the cards. For today I've drawn again a line of three from the Gilded Reverie Lenormand:
Stork + Anchor + cross
    Gilded Reverie Lenormand, letter
  1. Spiritual changes are disrupting my sense of stability
  2. When I want to seek out new spiritual beliefs I have to stay grounded
  3. I have to lift my anchor if I really want to move to the next winding of my path
Well these are very different interpretations, some even contradicting. So which one do I choose or maybe which one did  I overlook? I am a bit confused right now.
The inserts count 27, which is the letter card:
Maybe I will receive a letter, a mail or a comment; maybe I will read an article but something in writing will help me to see things more clearly
Perhaps you can shed some light for me over these cards????

My first Square of Nine with the Lenormand about Creativity

Yesterday I've read my first square of nine with the Piatnik Lenormand. This little deck is my main practice deck. I like the pictures and it's classic look and  also because I have two copies of this deck so if I'll ruin it, I still have a spare one left. This little deck is living in my purse so I can practice my combinations where ever I go.
I've seen how Chloe from Inner whispers  has tackled her square and I thought her approach was clear and structured, which is wonderful way for a beginner to learn this spread :
Piatnik Lenormand, cross, lily, key, bouquet, moon, sun, fish, whip, heart, square of nine.To add something personal to the reading I decided to turn the center card first, in order to determine the topic of the reading: Moon - intuition , creativity. These keywords jumped out to me for this reading.
Then I turned over the other cards....
First I've read the corners.
Cross + Key + Heart:
Open your heart to lighten you burden. The solution to your emotional setback is to be found in your heart.
Cross + Fish + Heart:
Setbacks are asking for abundant love. An abundant rich spirituality is the solution to your problems
The Action Cross has the following cards:
Bouquet + Moon + Sun: talent and intuition will lead to success
Lily + Moon + Whip : Practice frequently until you  are satisfied  and content. Don’t beat yourself up but be gentle for yourself
I like it how the corners clearly state the problem en the action cross contains a practical advice: it is not only talent you need but also practice, practice, practice.  And not to forget a kind and gentle attitude towards your efforts. It is also good to notice the first card was the burden (Cross) and the last card is love (Heart).

Rest - Take a nap!

Magical Mermaids & Dolphins Oracle
After my reading from yesterday, I have been feeling rather tired (mentally). These decks can stir up very deep emotions and this can be rather draining. So for today I've chosen a  deck with a more lighthearted feel: The Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle by Doreen Virtue; And I've got: REST! How cool is that!  The meaning is obvious: just find a soft place to rest and sleep or do some relaxing activities which don’t ask for deep emotional commitment
Perhaps my Lennies have something to contribute; mice + book + cross.
Lo Scarabeo Lenormand
Instantly I read this as my energy being nibbled away through writing about spiritual stuff J
Perhaps biased, but fun and I am not going to spend any more time considering all the other things they could mean. Perhaps tonight…
For now I have already done my groceries, cleaned up my house (a little bit) and now I’m going to take a long shower and afterwards pamper myself with coffee, chocolates (yes again J) and “Inferno” from Dan Brown. (great book)
