Great post and combination of cards Ellen.

Today, yesterday actually I learned of the writer Elizabeth Gilbert, who wrote Eat, Write, Pray. I confess I never read her book, I knew of it but never heard her name until yesterday. My point is creatives and fear seem to go hand in hand like she talks about in her TED talk. Very compelling and truthful what she has to say. We either seem to be running from fear or running to it. Having to relinquish control, with a trip to the underworld, and having to trust in the unseen workings of the unconscious waiting with fear, anxiety and hope. We just need to keep doing the creative work anyway.

Elizabet Gilbert has a new book coming out called Big Magic.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08478520659409723872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158245992923239671.post-20050403559709467752015-06-17T20:31:21.822+02:002015-06-17T20:31:21.822+02:00When I look at the RW depiction, searching for a h...When I look at the RW depiction, searching for a higher truth would be very applicable. Were I to have drawn these cards for myself I think I'd be inclined to look at my situation in terms of polarities and gradations because the cards are so similar physically. The sense of radical new direction that might manifest in taking time for oneself to really look at the stories and views we hold about our own place in the world, our own identity. I love your comment that sometimes we just have to be still to find our treasure :) I think you're right - being still is sometimes hard. That's how I feel about meditation a bit. Had I drawn these two card for myself, I would automatically think of the phrase, "What you resist will persist." Like the HM, I need to allow the emotions to flow through, but without getting attached to any thoughts that accompany them.
